Who We Are

We are Lever Foods, a Shanghai-based company that provides consulting services to leading domestic and international food companies, startups and investors. We provide specialized consulting on two key issues. First, we help food companies shift to using cage-free or free-range eggs. And second, we help leading companies, startups, and investors identify and take advantage of opportunities in the alternative protein space (plant-based meat and dairy products, plant-based proteins, and “clean meat” and dairy products).

Both cage-free eggs and alternative protein have serious benefits for consumers and for society in terms of food safety, food quality, animal welfare, and resource conservation.

While we are a private company, our business objectives align with and are intended to bolster key governmental goals, including the Chinese Nutrition Society’s goal of limiting animal protein consumption to healthy levels, the and Ministry of Agriculture’s goals to promote food safety and animal welfare.
